Jewelry ERP without the implementation project.

Odds are you're running one of four things: spreadsheets, a retail POS that was never built to manufacture, a general-purpose ERP with a jewelry layer on top, or a system that predates the browser you're reading this in. We can't tell you what yours does — but we can tell you exactly what Karatry costs, exactly what it does, and let you check both against your own catalog for 30 days before you pay anything.

How to read this page. You won't find a competitor's name here, and you won't find a grid of red crosses against someone else's product. We can't audit software we don't run, and a comparison that guesses is worth nothing to you. So every statement below is about Karatry — what it costs, what it does, and what it doesn't — set next to a question you can go and ask of whatever you're using today. If any of it turns out not to be true of the product, tell us and we'll fix the page.

The buying model

Eight questions worth asking any vendor.

Including us. Our answers are below — the other column is one you can fill in from your renewal quote, your last invoice, or the page you'd have to book a call to see.

Ask it of whatever you're running now Karatry's answer
Can you see the price without talking to anyone? $30 per seat / month, or $300 per seat / year
Two months free on annual. It's on the pricing page, not behind a form.
Is there a second licence underneath the jewelry part? No — that's the whole bill
One plan, one line, every module included.
What does it cost to add one more person? $30 — every seat is the same seat
No limited-user tier, no per-module upgrade, no negotiation.
Can you start today, by yourself, without a call? Yes — 30 days of the full product
No credit card, no demo to book, no forms to get through first.
How long before you can cost a real style? The same afternoon
Self-serve CSV import brings your customers, inventory and styles in yourself — inside the trial.
What's the implementation fee? There isn't one
Nothing to configure before you start, and email support from a real human is included.
If you stop paying, what happens to your data? Your workspace goes read-only
Everything stays viewable and exportable; business writes pause. Nothing is deleted.
Can you get your data back out yourself? Yes, to plain CSV, any time
Customers, styles, inventory, sales orders and invoices — exported by you, no ticket, no exit fee.
Why we only filled in one column. We can read a price page; we can't audit a product we don't run. Anything we wrote in that second column would be a guess dressed up as a fact, and you'd be right not to trust the rest of the page after it. So we answered for ourselves, precisely, and left the questions for you to take to anyone else — including whoever you're paying now.
If you're on spreadsheets

Nothing is broken — until gold moves.

Spreadsheets are honest software. They just don't know that the metal in row 40 got more expensive this morning, and they never tell you which of your styles quietly stopped covering their cost because of it.

The number stops being a copy of a number

In Karatry a style's cost isn't typed in — it's computed from the bill of materials, the metal weight, the karat, and the day's spot. Spot refreshes on its own. When it moves far enough that your catalog is out of date, Karatry flags exactly which styles have drifted and asks you to review them, rather than silently repricing your catalog behind your back or leaving you to notice at year end.

  • Metal spot prices refresh automatically — you don't maintain a rate cell
  • Cost drift is surfaced per style for review, so repricing stays a decision you make
  • Diamonds priced from a dated per-company price book by sieve and quality
  • Every change is recorded — who, what, before and after

If the jewelry part was configured

When the fit to your shop is somebody's project plan.

A general-purpose ERP with a jewelry layer on top can absolutely work. It's also three moving parts — the platform, the layer, and the person who fits them together — and the fit tends to live in configuration that somebody was paid to do. If that describes what you're on, this is the honest difference.

The jewelry model is the product

There is no configuration phase in Karatry, because there's nothing generic underneath to teach about jewelry. Styles and bills of material, memo and consignment aging, metal loss reconciled by the gram at each stage, work orders on a manufacturing floor, serialized pieces whose lot number is the barcode — those aren't modules you switch on or a consultant fits. They're the shape of the thing.

  • Every piece on memo aged and reconciled to the dollar, not tracked by memory
  • Metal loss and scrap recovery reconciled by weight, per stage, as work moves
  • Repairs, purchasing and payables, rep commissions — included, not bolted on
  • Every module is on every seat: there is one plan and no feature tiers to price out

If it needs a machine in the back office

The upgrade you've been putting off.

If your current system needs a server in the back office, a client installed on every desk, and a phone call to whoever set it up before anything changes, you already know the real cost isn't the licence. It's that nothing can change quickly.

Nothing to install, nothing to patch

Karatry runs in a browser. Adding a teammate is an emailed invitation with a role attached, and you send it yourself. Your workspace is isolated from every other workspace at the data layer, with MFA, role-based permissions and a full audit trail — and the security page says exactly how, without adjectives.

  • Nothing to install on a desk, and no server of yours to keep alive
  • Invite a teammate yourself — emailed invitation, role-based access
  • Encrypted in transit and at rest, on infrastructure from providers that maintain SOC 2 Type II certification
  • Run Karatry alongside your current process for the whole trial — no big-bang cutover

Fair questions

The things a buyer actually asks.

Why doesn't this page name the systems you're comparing against?

Because we'd be stating facts about products we can't audit, on a page designed to persuade you. Vendor pricing and features change without notice, and a comparison grid built from the outside is stale the week it ships. We'd rather be exactly right about our own product and give you the questions to ask everyone else — including us.

Are you claiming Karatry does everything your current system does?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. Mature systems have years of scope behind them and there will be things they do that we don't. What we can tell you precisely is what Karatry does today — and the fastest way to find out whether that covers your shop is 30 days on your own data, free, with no card and no call.

Isn't a cheaper seat just a smaller product?

Sometimes it is. Here it's mostly a different cost structure: we sell it ourselves, there's no implementation practice to fund, and you bring your own AI key so we're not marking up tokens you could buy at cost. That's why one plan at $30 a seat works — and why every module is on every seat instead of tiered.

I've already paid for an implementation. Is it too late?

Then don't rip anything out to find out. Run Karatry alongside what you have through the trial, pilot one product line or one bench, and compare the costing on styles you already know the answer to. If it doesn't hold up, you've lost nothing but a CSV export.

What happens when the 30 days end?

Subscribe at $30 per seat per month (or $300 per seat per year) to keep working. If you don't, your workspace becomes read-only — everything stays viewable and exportable, and new business writes pause until you subscribe. Nothing is deleted. Full pricing terms →

How do I check any of this without taking your word for it?

Start the trial and try it on your own catalog — that's the whole reason it's 30 days, free, and doesn't ask for a card. The features page lists what's in the product, pricing lists what it costs, and security explains how your data is handled. If anything on this page doesn't match what you find, tell us and we'll correct it.

The only comparison that counts is your own data.

30 days of the full product, on your own catalog, with no credit card and nobody to call first.
